Corsair Electric Guitar
User Reviews Review by John Marshall Overall I actually have the Porl Thompson signature model, but that baby is my workhorse. It is a brilliant, quality guitar and at a fantastic price. And it's very versatile. I tend to play rock, blues, jazz, rockabilly, and would highly rate this guitar in all aspects. Sure, it's no Gretsch White Falcon, sure it's no 1960's Gibson ES335. But this will always be a personal favourite. Sound Whilst the tone isn't as distinctive as a Gretsch or Gibson, I find those guitars to be "one-trick ponys". The Schecter Corsair is a little more versatile. The through neck gives plenty of sustain, and the hollow body lets you work the tone (and feedback). Look Classic styling with a slight twist. The build quality is impeccable. Feel Well, this is a new guitar, so it's not going to have that classic vintage guitar feel for a few years yet. So I can't give it a 5. But for a new guitar, it's built to a high standard. The neck is solid and thin, and it's a beauty to behold. Reliability Not sure how to rate reliability of a guitar. It's never broken down on me. If it did, I'd get it fixed. Value Until I get my record deal and can afford a vintage Gretsch White Falcon, the Schecter Corsair is going to be my number one guitar. Brilliant quality, at a fantastic price. This guitar is worth much more than it's selling for. Other Comments Rock! Hang cool daddio! |
