Overall

Bought at the Musician's Friend Clearance Center for $199 (headstock was completely broken off). Had it repaired professionally by a local luthier for $184. Came with a very nice hard shell "Elitist" case. Only reason it's not a "5" is because the quality of the case isn't as high a quality as the original hard shell case it's modeled after. The guitar itself is of higher quality and playability than an actual Gibson satin-finish 335 that I compared it to at the same time.

Sound

EXCELLENT sounding guitar! I've read some bad review of the P-94's on line, but I am very happy with the sound of mine. I have played it through a 1979 Deluxe Reverb and a 1980s Fender Super 60 combo. The pickups are very responsive to pick attack and volume/tone control variations (playing through a quality tube amp makes a difference, I'm sure). Plus, it's a unique sound; it's not your "run-of-the-mill" semi-hollow guitar!

Look

Stunning! Enough said! If you can even FIND one, check it out, you'll want it!

Feel

Playability is great, the frets are nice and level, no burrs or humps; the ends are dressed nicely and again the quality exceeds the current Gibson pieces I've compared it too. Please remember that the Elitist series represents the pinnacle of the Japanese luthiers' art! The actual wood used is of HIGH quality! These are NOT your Korean/Chinese/Taiwain-made Epi's! My ONLY complaints are that the pickguard came loose from the bracket that attaches it to the body and there's a bit of a buzz when playing "g" notes...I think it is originating somewhere in the bridge, pickup rings or the frequensator tailpiece...still trying to track it down.

Reliability

Too early to tell yet, but my experience with other Japanese guitars (Yamaha SG3000S and my Electra Strat and 335 copies from the 70s) gives me total confidence it it.
