Review by Steve

Overall

This is a great beginner to intermediate metal / thrash guitar, though it's priced more towards the beginner range. Plays as well as guitars that cost twice as much, slick and easy. Loses a star for finish - mine has a couple defects, but one is on the side, one is so small you cant see it unless you look very hard, so niether is really noticable. The trace has inlays along the fretboard, these are perfectly flush (as they have to be) and you can tell they spent alot of their QC on this area. Controls are solid, tuners are solid, just a really nice overall guiter, I haven't seen anything else this nice for $300. There are better guitars out there, certainly (I'll take an NT Beast please), but for $300 this is five stars.

Sound

The sound is great. Some people are very 'picky about pickups', and they should be, but you get the sound you get - if you only like the sound from seymour duncans, then whatever guitar you get you will need to put seymour duncans in it. Out of the box this guitar sounds exactly the way it should.

Look

You'll either like the shape or not, some think it's too 'extreme' (like 'extreme corn nuts'?..). In online pics the body looks larger than it is, when playing it is just the right size. Oh and by the way, despite its crazy shape it fits just fine in my regular padded gig bag.

Feel

Slick and easy, really just a nice guitar to play.

Reliability

I haven't had it long enough to break anything, but the guitar is as solid a guitar as I have owned and I would be quite surpirsed if there is any reliability issue.

Value

Did I mention you really can't get a nicer guitar for $300? I mean it. If you like the shape, and you like the way it plays..
