Rockstar RD922BD 9-Piece Double Bass Drum Kit
User Reviews Review by Cooper Overall this is an awesome kit for the drummer looking to upscale their playing. do not hesitate to buy this beautiful quality product from tama. the starcast mounting system gives the toms a nice deep rich tone and the hardware is strong simple and very good. Sound the heads that are shipped with the kit arent as good but you dont always have to replace them. i just threw some remo rings on there and tuned em up and they sound like studio quality toms. the tone is so rich with the starcast system. i love it. the base drums sound great once you shove a pillow in there. after about four months of fast action double base both of my base skins broke. replace those with some evans double coated and remo base triggers and your good to go. grab a plate and trace sound holes out in the front with an exacto knife for some good sound holes. the snare sounds great too once you tune it up real high. Look looks awesome. there are so many colors to choose from. i got midnight silver and it looks great. keep it nice and clean though because nothing looks cooler than a nine piece tama ruling the room it occupies. Feel it gets a little different when it comes to double base kits as far as your reach goes. it takes some getting used to to have a larger kit and more area to cover and some decisions on how to set up your cymbals. sometimes i ditch the first tom to squeeze the highhat in farther and compress the kit. once you get used to it youll love it. Reliability the tom holders that the starcast system sits on is a ball and socket kind of thing. its covered in some sort of skin or something and after a while mine ripped on two tom holders. besides the base skins the others hold for a long time. the actual drums and other hardware are great. my kit gets the crap thrashed out of it and is in the best condition possible. im sure ill have this kit a long time. Value worth the money but after cymbals and stuff it starts to get expensive. just remember that this kit will be there until your in a wheelchair so its definetly worth the money. great warranty too and its so easy to fix and assemble. Other Comments tune your left base higher than the right and play angel of death. its so sick. Review by William Ragsdale Overall My dad bought these new 5 years ago for my older brother and since he's been off to college, they're mine. Overall they sound great and allow much versatility in style and preference. Sound Even used, they sound as good as they did brand new. The toms provide much depth and the bass drums are thunderous. Look My set is black and looks incredibly beastly and the fact that the set itself is larger than life contributes awesomely. Feel The Remo heads on mine are great, not really sure what heads come standard, as we threw them out a week after purchase. Reliability They still sound awesome and have minimal wear and tear after many years of withstanding massive amounts of force. Value After cymbals kick in, this drum set can empty your wallet pretty quickly, but it's definitely worth it. Other Comments I <3333333333333 these drums!12@eleven |
