Review by Bo

Overall

Overall I'd say, this is the bass for almost all of your needs. I know for sure, that I'm never buying another brand than Traben again, they are second to no-one, and their expertise and craftmanship can simply not be overshadowed by anything or anyone out there!

Sound

This bass has it all!

The many options you are given straight from the start is completely overwhelming! I have litterally played from the hardest to the softest on this bass, and if you finetune the pickup control just right, you can get away with murder!

Look

There is no comparisson. Simple as that.

The look of the smooth body, with the rich colour of polished wood, enriched by the massive awesome chrome flames that devours the body on the front, is just a sight for sore eyes.

And on the back the experience doesn't stop!

The three different colours of wood that makes out a pattern, going from the very bottom of the body, onto the neck and and across the head is nothing short of spectacular!

Feel

The feel of this bass is amazing. Both psychological and physical. The smooth textures of the polished wood allows you to slide your hand freely. The thin neck makes it possible to do stuff that would be really hard to do, on other (sometimes even more expensive) brands.

The weight is great as well, it allows for great stage freedom, which, in my book, is a must!

Reliability

I have owned my Traben for quite some time now, and I have never had any problems with it. Not a single one, it is completely flawless.

Value

You are getting more than your money worth, if you buy this base! This fine instrument could easily go for twice the price!

I have never seen, or played, anythin that you can compare to this in price!

Other Comments

I wouldn't say this is a beginners base, start up with something cheaper. Learn your way around on the "big and clumsy" basses first, because if you do, playing this bass will be like having an orgasm!
