BTB405QM 5-String Bass Guitar
User Reviews Review by KDubbs Overall I am very happy that I purchased this bass. It's a very nice add to my collection of fine basses, being physically and aurally attracive. Sound The Sound can be adjusted to mimic most any bass. You want that Fender sound? A couple knob twists and there ya go. You want that Tobias/Ken Smith/Alembic sound? A few more knob twists and there ya go. With an embedded Envelope filter you can even get some Wah/Flange type effects. The Individual string guides cause these model basses to have Incredible sustain. This also allows for a more 'defined' individual string sound. Thumpers who hit hard (physically) will love the sound of this Bass as it can imitate the classic Musicman Stingray sound. Look This Bass actually has the look and feel of a bass many times it's price The Quilted look also is very asthetically pleasing. The layout of knobs/pickup/individual bridge is very nice too. Feel "From the Factory" the action is pretty high, but after adjusting, it's as good as ANY 5 string in this price range. I intentionally returned my action back to factory to strengthen my hands and make me play more precise. But you DON'T have to do this. The Bass isn't as heavy as many other basses with these features. The Construction is done VERY WELL. Reliability The knobs were not very tight so I unknowingly lost one of them. So far there has been no problem with electronics. It would be much better to have had a CASE included with the purchase as it's very easily scratched. Value Definately a GREAT Bang for your buck. Other Comments Would I purchase this bass if I had to do it all over again? YES. It CANNOT be beat for the price. |
