SX72 Acoustic-Electric Guitar
User Reviews Review by Brent Crude Overall Good sound, versatile tone, beautifully finished, very playable. Sound Unplugged sound a little dull until I put some new Martin strings on it. Good volume for relatively small sized body. Very clean electric sound, abiity to blend both pickups gives nice balanced sound. Look Stunning looks! Highly figured ash body, closely bookmatched, binding top and bottom and on neck. Mine is transluscent blue. Few acoustic guitars have such a striking finish. I wouldn't normally choose a blue acoustic guitar! Feel This is my first acoustic guitar in over twenty years. I have a strong preference for electric guitars and the SX72 had a good feel, especially the slim neck. I had the action professionally lowered to make it even more playable. Reliability No problems in the week that I have owned it. Value This appears to be one of the more expensive acoustic guitars produced by Ibanez but it is still good value. Few other guitars in this range will offer a Fishman AND a single coil pickup. Other Comments The SX72 would be even better if there was a transparent scatch plate to protect the finish. A strap stud for the neck end of guitar would also be desirable. Does not come with a case.
