JG26SCE Mini Jumbo Acoustic-Electric Guitar
User Reviews Review by Cookie Overall It's an attractive guitar with a great neck but doesn't like very light strings. It would need to be set up by an expert to use anything less than 12 -52's reliably and without the odd buzz on the fret work. The solid spruce top is really nice and moves well. Considering its small szie the sound is substantial and bright (how I like it) Sound Medium volume and bright. Pleasing to the ear. It makes you want to pick it up and play it. Wow ! when you plug it in. Terrific fishman pick up - really does the job prodcing a very natural sound. Look Terrific top. Back and sides are a little "DIY shop" replacement living room door - if you know what I mean. but the proportions, shape and top wood/colour make up for it. I have to give it 4 Feel Feels great. It's small and the neck is a typical fast Fender with more of an electric feel. I love it. Reliability Compensated bridge seems a bit loose when you chnage the strings. Had to re-seat it a couple of times to get the pick working properly. You know when it's wrong because the normally even tones across the range get lost at either the lower or higher end. Poor set of bridge plugs. Bend when you're trying to pop then out and don't fit well anyway. Should be changed for a good ebony set asap. Value I bought mine in Lisbon. We get ripped off for everything here. I paid 590 euros against a shop price of 675. I think RRP in the UK is £359.00 But I have seen them for as little as £279.00 on the internet. That's ok I suppose but I would always want to try it first. However, at that price it would be a bargain if it arrived undamaged. Other Comments Shame about the lack attention paid to the bridge fit etc. All livable with in the short term and easily rectified in the longer term. So, yes bloody good accoustic for the money. |
